Coming soonWhy use Travel Calculator?
Travel rules and costs have become harder to work out. Since the EU's Entry/Exit System became fully operational in April 2026, every non-EU visitor's border crossings into the Schengen Area are recorded digitally, so overstaying by even a day is spotted automatically. And with UK pump prices moving by several pence a litre within a few weeks, a quick sum on the back of an envelope is easy to get wrong.
Each calculator on this site is built to do one job well:
- Clear answers, not just numbers. You get a plain-English verdict, such as "you can stay until 14 June", alongside the figures.
- Private by design. Everything is calculated in your browser. Trips you enter are saved only on your own device so they are there next time.
- UK and international units. Miles or kilometres, UK or US gallons, pounds, euros or dollars.
- Explained properly. Every tool comes with a guide to how the rule or formula works, with worked examples, so you can check the result yourself.
Planning a trip to Europe?
If you hold a UK, US, Canadian, Australian or other visa-free passport, the most important number to keep track of is 90: the maximum days you can spend in the Schengen Area in any rolling 180-day period. Our Schengen calculator keeps a record of your trips and tells you exactly where you stand on any date.
